Mahashivratri Bank Holiday, February 2025: Banks across the country will remain closed for a total of 14 days in February, including regional holidays and weekends. However, mobile and internet banking services will remain unaffected. This week, branches will be shut for Mahashivratri 2025 and a regional holiday.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a detailed calendar specifying the states and dates when bank branches will remain closed in February 2025. However, it’s important to note that these holidays are not uniform across all states. For example, while banks will remain closed for Loosong/Namsoong in Aizawl and Gangtok, branches in other states will operate as usual.  

According to RBI list, here’s a city-wise breakdown of major bank holidays in February 2025: 

• Saraswati Puja: February 3 (Agartala)  
• Thai Poosam/Municipal Corporation General Election 2025: February 11 (Chennai/Raipur)  
• Sant Ravidas Jayanti/Guru Ravi Das’s Birthday/Local Council Elections 2025: February 12 (Aizawl, Kanpur, Lucknow, Shimla)  
• Lui-Ngai-Ni: February 15 (Imphal)  
• Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti: February 19 (Belapur, Mumbai, Nagpur)  
• Statehood Day/State Day: February 20 (Aizawl, Itanagar)  
• Mahashivratri: February 26 (Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana)
