Credit Card: When you don’t use your credit card for a long time, it’s called credit card inactivity. After a certain period of no use, the card issuer may deactivate your card. The time it takes to deactivate an inactive card depends on the card issuer. Some issuers do this after six months, while others wait up to a year. New cards also have rules: if you don’t activate your new card within 30 days, the issuer will ask for consent through an OTP. If they don’t get your approval, your card will be closed within seven days.
