Delhi Election Result 2025 HIGHLIGHTS: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to form the next government in the Union Territory of Delhi, with 48 seats won at the end of a meticulous counting process, according to data from the ECI website. The incumbent Aam Aadmi Party secured 22 seats. The halfway mark is 36. Tight security arrangements were in place to carry out the crucial ballot counting process, which began at 8 am on Saturday. In the 2025 Delhi Assembly polls, 699 candidates—603 male and 96 female—contested across 70 constituencies. Electors cast their ballots for the contest in a single phase on February 5, with a total voter turnout of 60.42 per cent across 11 districts. The turnout was weaker than in 2020, when AAP staged a clean sweep with 62 out of the 70 seats and the remaining eight seats went to BJP, while the Congress got none.
