Instagram introducing live location sharing feature - Here's every detail you need to know

Instagram, owned by Meta, is one of the most popular social media platforms. It has two billion active users. It gained popularity after the introduction of the reels - which was inspired by TikTok, in 2020. After the launch of this feature, it even became more popular than its sister platform Facebook.

To keep users engaged, the company has been introducing several features. It is now introducing live location sharing on DMs. 

This feature works like WhatsApp's live location where users can share live locations for up to one hour or pin a spot on the map to coordinate arrival times, and activities or find each other in crowded spaces.
