As per a Government Resolution (GR), the DA has been revised from 443 per cent to 455 per cent and will be paid in cash along with the salary for February 2025, including arrears for the period from July 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025.

An official from the state finance department stated that the DA hike is expected to benefit approximately 17 lakh employees.

The GR also mentioned that existing procedures and provisions related to DA disbursement will remain unchanged.

The additional expenditure due to the revised DA will be covered under the budgetary provisions allocated for government employees’ salaries and allowances. For grant-in-aid institutions and Zilla Parishad employees, the expenditure will be booked under the designated sub-heads for their financial assistance.
